  • Acknowledged by FCAN and their District Associations, if any.

    Category Specific Criteria

    Best National Pride Project – National Pride Projects are development projects declared by the Government of Nepal as crucial projects for the country’s overall development. There are currently 21 National Pride Projects. This category seeks to recognize the most outstanding contractor in the FY 2074/75 B.S. The best project will be declared on the evidence of the following:

  • Completion status as per the budget and work of respective projects.
  • No controversies.
  • No penalties.

    Best Public Purpose Project – The public purpose projects are the projects that serve the overall public. It lies in the infrastructure sector of construction which includes highways, bridges, railways, hydropower, etc. These projects ensure the overall development of the country as well as enhance the living standard of the people. This award seeks to recognize the contribution of contractors towards the use of advanced technology throughout the previous year. The best project will be declared on the evidence of the following:

  • Involvement in public projects.
  • Timely completion.
  • Awards and recognition, if any.
  • Team involvement and technology utilization.
  • Years of operation and involvement.

    Best Private Purpose Project - This award seeks to recognize the most outstanding owner for their contribution on the private sector business in the last year. It includes construction of hotel buildings, business and shopping complex, and other such private projects. The best private purpose project award will be declared on the evidence of the following:

  • Timely completion.
  • Awards and recognition, if any.
  • Team involvement and technology utilization.
  • Years of operation and involvement.

    Popular Project of the Year – This award category seeks to recognize the most popular construction project in the last year. The project may be awarded to the collaborative teams or the owners based on popular votes for the construction works carried out. The popular award will be declared on the evidence of the following:

  • Nominations.
  • Nomination based on:
    • Use of new/latest technology.
    • Contribution to the public.
    • Environmental/cultural preservation.
  • Based on Public Votes.

    Best Small-Scale Project – This category seeks to recognize the contribution of outstanding contractors for micro-hydro projects up to 100 kW and other similarly costing project, not limited to hydropower projects.

    Best Housing and Residential Projects – The housing market is experiencing a boom in Nepal. This category seeks to recognize the most outstanding housing and residential projects in the last year. However, it does not include individual residential houses. The best project will be declared on the evidence of the following:

  • No. of housing units.
  • No. of facilities.
  • Project duration.
  • Environmental impact.
  • Preservation of cultural heritage.
  • Corporate social responsibility activities.

    Life time Achievement Award – This award seeks to recognize an individual who has contributed exceptionally towards the construction sector further compounding into national development.
